Jizo Buddha is known as the one who offers salvation during the period when the Buddha was absent. Especially, he is well known as the Buddha who even goes to the hell and saves sentient beings. Wish of the Jizo Buddhist saint is the original prayers that are for co-existence of the Buddha and all Buddhist saints. In the temple on the bottom of Mt. Triangle, there is a wooden Jizo saint seated statue which was moved from Taegosa Temple during the Korean War. In the early 1980, the master monk, Wonseong was impressed by the Jizo saint has made an oath to follow the saint’s original oath and changed the name to Bonwonjeongsa Temple. Since then, he has been keeping the temple as the place for taking care of the mind, body, and spirit of the Sabah world outside the temple.
