Mr. Kim Chang Suk, immediately after the occurrence of the March First Independence Movement, went to Shanghai representing the Confucian Scholars Group, carried a long letter to Paris, which was sent to the Paris Peace Conference, and participated in forming the Provisional Assembly in Shanghai, and was involved in the 2nd Yurimdan (Confucian Group) Incident. After liberation, clearing pro-Japanese Confucianists, he established the framework of Confucianism, and was a religious leader and educator who founded Seong-gyun-gwan University, and this place is one with a great historic and educational value where people can pay their tribute to his patriotic spirit.
